A 102 year old coin trip has ended in my hand.

I have received this coin back in change. It was mistaken for a Nickle. Working in a university is interesting and not the way you think. For some reason I have gotten more interesting change back than another place. There was a brief time I was getting silver dimes and quarters in my change. Then at Duke I received a Silver certificate with my bills. This is the most interesting one I have had in a few years. I am curious how it got back into circulation, was is a totem some one kept in their pocket and plunked it down in a vending machine by accident. was it a kid who wanted to see if some foreign coin would be able to pass off in change. Before that did it come from some exiles last handful of change before the left for good. Maybe it is was a memory of a vacation of years past. I would love to see the memories that the coin has. Like all old things we do not own it but we are a caretaker for the future generation.
